Fall fundraising goal of $5,000 will get our 31st season off to a running start
Our 30th Anniversary season has come to a close and we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support. We presented more than 60 free performances in public parks this summer, which were open to anyone who wanted to come and watch a play. Around 10,000 people took us up on the offer. The only way all this can happen is through the kind support of donors like you.
Planning has already started for our 31st season of Shakespeare (plays to be announced early 2019) and we could use a little boost from our supporters. Please join us in building Season 31 by making a donation to our fall fundraising campaign.
Producing theater is an expensive proposition, and while we get considerable in-kind support from Seattle Parks and Recreation, and some cold hard cash from our friends at 4Culture and the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, the majority of our expenses are paid for through individual contributions and from passing the hat at performances.
We have set a modest fundraising goal of raising $5,000 by Thanksgiving.
In case you are wondering what happened to our Hard Bard production of Titus Andronicus that was planned for this fall, we lost our venue at the last minute. With a replacement venue not possible, it has been cancelled – for now. We are hoping to make it happen next fall, space willing. Speaking of which, does anybody have a barn?
